Work in Progress/January 2026

There has been a flurry of activity over the last few months; painting workshops, drawing groups, book clubs, and holidays. I posted the workshop painting ‘exercises’ on the Buildings, Variety and Landscapes pages. Below are the two painting exercises currently in progress

• In the landscape painting, the sky has been worked out, but the rest of the painting still has to be tackled. The painting is done on canvas board - so there is more texture to be seen.

• In the portrait painting, the black and white tonal foundation is is progress, to then be followed by glazes of color. Adjustments to eye and ear placement are forthcoming.
